This year, instead of organizing and promoting our own garden tour, we want to promote a new series of native garden tours organized by Deep Roots KC.
Deep Roots KC is currently taking nominations for native garden locations as they build their monthly native garden tours. You can also purchase tickets for the entire tour, which takes place on 2nd Saturdays, from April through October, or wait until the individual monthly tickets become available. A pay-what-you-can donation is requested to help cover the costs of organizing the tour. To be the first to know about these tours, sign up for Deep Roots newsletter, The Pollinator.
You’re always welcome to explore our gardens during our regular business hours. We have gardens for different moisture conditions, such as our “Wall Garden” with quick-draining soil and our newly installed “Mulberry Garden” rain gardens and well established bioswale “Pond Garden.” Additionally, we have added a “Monarch Waystation” this year. Visit us to get inspired and shop for your own garden.
The Grow Native Gardens of Excellence, located throughout the lower Midwest, are another excellent place to get inspired by native gardens.
