2025 Garden Tours

We want to encourage you to join the Deep Roots habitat garden tours.

Deep Roots is hosting their Habitat Garden Tours again this year. The 2025 tours will take place on Second Saturdays in April, May, June, and September. The motto for the year is: Do Try This at Home. To make this even easier, Deep Roots has coordinated nearby native plant sales to correspond with each month’s tour. For more information, and to sign up, visit their website: Habitat Garden Tours - Deep Roots.

You’re always welcome to explore our gardens during our regular business hours. We have gardens for different moisture conditions, such as our “Wall Garden” with quick-draining soil, “Mulberry Garden” rain gardens, our new "Monarch Waystation" and "Bumblebee garden", and well established bioswale “Pond Garden”. Visit us to get inspired and shop for your own garden.

This year we’re also offering specific opportunities to relax in our gardens and connect with nature. We will be opening our grounds early the 3rd Saturday, April - October, to give you a chance to explore or just be with nature. See our Ground in the Garden page for more details.

The Grow Native Gardens of Excellence, located throughout the lower Midwest, are another excellent place to get inspired by native gardens.
